Ministry Weekend | Parish Newsletter
The goal of our ministry is to lead high schoolers and their parents to encounter Christ and to equip them to live as life-long disciples.

To do this, we offer opportunities that invite high school youth to take a step in owning their Catholic faith through participation in large group ministry events focused on fellowship and service) as well as through small group ministry. In addition to youth-specific gatherings, we strive to plug high school youth and their parents into the fullness of the parish community.

This year we have been given the opportunity to think more creatively about how we live this mission as we prioritize spiritual health, physical health, and social & emotional health in a new way.

Keep in touch with us by signing up for our weekly email to learn more about how we are walking together in gathered and non-gathered ways this year.
Large Group Ministry
Large group ministry events are scheduled throughout the year and will happen based on the health guidelines on the day of the event. These events will be open to all 9th-12th grade teens and will be designed to help teens connect with their peers and adults in the parish through fellowship, worship, and/ or service to others.

Events may include: Fall Open House, Parent & Small Group Leader Breakfast, Autumn Outing, Christmas Party, Dublin Chiller, Family Mentor Food Drive, and a Family Game Night.
Small Group Ministry
Small group ministry is the latest evolution of high school youth group. In an effort to lead high school youth to encounter Christ and to equip them to live as life-long disciples, small groups seek to grow and stretch teens as they move towards owning their faith. Small group is a community committed revealing and reminding each teen of their holiness and wholeness in Christ.

Small groups form each semester. Fall 2020 small groups will meet weekly from September 20 - December 9, 2020. Small group sign up is required.

Fall 2020 small groups will focus on part 1 of YOU: Life, Love, & Theology of the Body.
Based on St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, YOU: Life, Love, & Theology of the Body will help teens discover the ultimate purpose for which God created them—communion with Him. This series will also answer questions teens have about their bodies, about the Church’s teachings on sexual morality, and how they were created for greatness.

We were made to know God, know truth, and live life in a way that brings us peace and happiness. These pursuits, though, are hard to come by in today’s distracting and permissive culture. As a result, it is perhaps harder to live as a teenager today than at any other time.

In a world where there are so many differing viewpoints about sex, love, and bodies, this series will reveal the person God says that you are and the way God created humans to live and love.

Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body presents beautiful vision of personhood and human sexuality. Providing the “whys” behind the “whats,” and paving the way to true freedom and happiness, this series will show participants how to live in authentic freedom, love, and happiness.

YOU and the solid wisdom of the Theology of the Body brought through this series will help restore hope because it reveals a road map to real love and authentic happiness.

Through parts 1 and 2, participants will learn what healthy relationships look like and how to live a life of sacrifice and discipleship.
