City Staff Returns!
They're back!

Like most of the country's workforce, it's been more than 13 months since at least part of the City of Mesa staff left their offices to work remotely. As of Monday, May 3rd, all City staff will return to city offices, working in person for at least the foreseeable future. The City of Mesa is the largest employer in the city.

They know they have plenty of work ahead of them, but what they may not know is how many new downtown businesses have opened! And if there's one thing we know at Downtown Mesa, it's that these folks gotta eat.

This is a great opportunity to get focus on lunchtime and Happy Hour
restaurant and brewery offerings!

Update: Mesa Arts Center
Kristi McLeod, a spokesperson for the Mesa Arts Center, says they’ll begin hosting shows in the fall, starting with a performance by jazz guitarist Pat Metheny on Sunday, October 3, that will kick off the 2021/22 season.

The MAC has also been using the pandemic lull as an excuse to fix up the place, including redoing the floors and replacing seating in the Nesbitt Playhouse and the Ikeda and Piper theaters. “It's been 16 years since the Mesa Arts Center opened and it's time to replace the seating,” McLeod says. “So because of the pandemic, we decided to do some renovations.”
