Prayers Live at Five on Facebook
All are invited to tune into a brief Facebook Live event each Wednesday at 5:00 pm. If you have prayer requests that you would like lifted up, you can type them into the comments section of the FB Live event or you can email them to Pastor Jeff at revjmarkay@earthlink.net.
Youth & Kids News
After reading the story of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet last Sunday, kids in the Whirl Class tried some “TOErrific Art” holding a pair of markers with their toes to draw pictures of feet to remind us to love and serve following Jesus’ example.
Sunday School welcomes new friends to join our active groups during Lent as we prepare our hearts and lives for the great miracle of Easter. Zoom log-in info for the following online classes will be emailed at the end of each week. If you would like to be added to the distribution group or have questions about which class is right for your children, please email Karen at youthchatumc@optonline.net.

PreK / Early Elementary - Sundays at 9:30am on Zoom. Each Sunday in Lent we are learning about a different event from Holy Week. We continue to count down the days 'til Easter with our Lenten Calendar Chains. This week in class we’ll continue work on our prayer sheets, reviewing our prayers of praise, confession, thanksgiving, and adding a prayer of intercession. And we’ll talk about the other of the two stories from Maundy Thursday – The Last Supper – and the surprising thing Jesus does and how he asks us to remember him.

Submerge (4th-8th grade) - Sundays at 10:30am on Zoom. We continue our deeper dive into Lent and the events of Holy Week to prepare ourselves for the real joy of Easter. This week, Bibles in hand, we’ll further explore the story of The Last Supper Jesus shared with his disciples. Last week we talked briefly about how this event is commemorated on what we now call Maundy Thursday and this week we’ll talk about the new commandment that gave the day this unusual name.

High School Discussion - Sundays at 11:45am on Zoom. For the six weeks in Lent we are working with What Wondrous Love which presents key scriptures and events in the story of Holy Week through the art of John August Swanson. This week’s artwork: Last Supper, based on the account from Matthew 26, has themes of community, celebration of sharing, and an embrace of the ordinary by the sacred.
