4-H Meetings UPDATE

Ventura County is still in the purple or most restrictive tier of COVID-19-related restrictions. In addition, we are still under the Regional Stay Home Order that began on December 3. The order will remain in effect “until the region’s projected ICU capacity is equal or greater than 15%.” Click here to see our local ICU capacity in Ventura County.
As such, until further notice, all 4-H activities must be conducted virtually.

We want to keep our youth safe online, so the state has created a new role: the 4-H Adult Helper. Please become a certified Adult Helper so you can help 4-H virtual projects by being the 2nd adult in online meetings.
Requirements for Every Virtual Meeting :
• Never share virtual meeting space links publicly. • Use waiting room feature. • Virtual meeting space, e.g., zoom room, etc., should be locked, after all registered participants have been verified and joined. • Ensure that 4-H youth participants identify their user profile by first name only. • For all virtual 4-H activities, parents/guardians should be cc’d on all meeting invitations and registration confirmations sent out. • 4-H Adult Volunteers and Staff will follow all 4-H Youth Supervision policies for all virtual 4-H activities. • If participants have their video turned on, consider recommending they use a virtual UC ANR 4-H branded background, or a solid, non-distracting background image. • Before logging into a virtual activity, parent/guardian(s) need to remove any image of youth from the virtual account profile. • No social media live streaming of scheduled virtual 4-H activities in which youth are participants. • Turn off all private chat features in virtual 4-H meeting platform. • Disable participant profile pictures in meetings. • Disable screen sharing for youth participants.

If you have a card, please activate it, load it and start using it!

What will we do with the money?
