Our Plans for the Future
Students,

It has been almost two months since our campuses began to actively respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have undergone monumental changes in such a short period of time and mobilized to make rapid changes to serve you and support your future.

I know I am not alone in at times feeling overwhelmed about the uncertainty of the future. But I have learned in life that if you choose to feed fear, worry, and doubt, it will multiply. If you choose hope and choose to see an alternate vision for a brighter tomorrow, that positivity in attitude and outlook can have a resounding impact.

Today, I want to share with you our plans for the future.

Idaho State University plans to be fully operational in time to welcome you back in August. In short, we are planning for operations as normal as possible this fall. Now, of course, we know this situation is fluid and subject to change based on public health guidance. It would be irresponsible of me not to say that we don’t know exactly what the future holds. We may have to have contingency plans in place for the fall, and we will be prepared if that situation comes to pass. But, right now, I am committed to looking ahead and preparing to be fully operational in time to welcome you back.

As we all look ahead to August, I encourage you not to put your educational ambitions on hold. Your success is our priority. Take time to register for classes. Our advising team is ready to help you prepare for a successful fall semester. If you have questions about financial aid, tutoring, or simply need help finding your way to the next step in your educational journey, Idaho State faculty and staff are here for you.

Today, I would like you to join me in choosing hope . Choose your future. Join me in seeing an alternate, brighter vision for tomorrow.
