Featured Emergency Resources
Emergency Supplies Checklist
When emergencies hit, it's important to be prepared. This resource from the Texas Department of State Health Services provides a comprehensive checklist for creating your own emergency supply kit. This checklist is an easy tool which can empower you to feel prepared for whatever comes your way. Grab your housemates and assemble one together today!
Disaster Unemployment Assistance
If you lost wages due to the winter storm in February, you may be eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA). The Texas Workforce Commission will be accepting applications until March 26th. To receive DUA benefits, all required documentation must be submitted within 21 days from the day the DUA application is filed. Required documentation includes Social Security number and documentation to support that you were working or self-employed when the disaster occurred.
Need Food?
Hunger and food insecurity on our campus is real. UT Outpost is here to help by providing a free food pantry for UT students. Due to Covid-19, UT Outpost has moved to an online order and contactless pickup operation for the Spring 2021 semester. Requested food orders can be claimed from the "Contactless Pickup Zone" located outside the UT Outpost office (UA9 3.108).

Emergency Cash Loans Available
UT provides short-term tuition loans and emergency cash loans to students. Tuition loans have a 1-3 month repayment period and are applied directly to the student’s tuition bill. Emergency cash loans are due in full one month from the date of issue. Web cash loans are limited to one every 30 days. Any subsequent refund of tuition is applied to a tuition or emergency cash loan balance, regardless of the due date of the loan.
