Internship spotlight: Lydia Wede
How Greenlee prepared me for my summer internship

"The main principle of a college education is to prepare the next generation of students to enter the workforce. A strong internship or two is a great tool for this effort, which is why the Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communication requires a 400-hour internship before graduation. I was fortunate to find a position with Out and About Communications for this past summer and into this fall."

Trio of cousins 'tumble' into YouTube success
Senior in advertising, Maggie Atcheson, started making videos with her cousins and uploading them to YouTube in 2011. What started as a hobby with iMovie focusing on family gymnastics turned into a channel with two million subscribers and 500 million views.

Learn how Atcheson draws from her past video experience to complete current-day projects for classes at Iowa State.
