KDS Salutes Academic Top 10%
of the Class of 2021
Kate Duncan Smith DAR High School is proud to recognize the students who have earned the distinction of being ranked in the 10% of their graduating class.  

Patriots Take a Stand Against Litter
On April 16th, more than 50 KDS DAR High School students and teachers, calling themselves “Patriots Against Litter”, gathered to hold a clean-up day in the community. These volunteers were taken by school bus to pick up litter on roadsides in the Grant community.

With public health conditions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic in Alabama steadily improving, plans are being made to proceed with an in-person event for KDS DAR School’s 2021 Dedication Day.

2020 Annual Report
The KDS DAR School Annual Report is the organization’s yearly report to its friends and supporters, documenting the school’s activities and finances in the previous year. The 2020 report is now available and includes financial information, statistics, giving information, summaries of the year’s major events and projects, updates on school programs, an alumni spotlight, and donor recognitions.

KDS Promotes Autism
Acceptance
Each April, KDS students, teachers, and staff observe Autism Acceptance Month with efforts to spread awareness, promote acceptance, and ignite change. During the week of April 5th, students in Pre-K through high school were given age-appropriate information about this developmental disorder that affects so many people worldwide, including students at KDS.
