The question on everyone’s mind is, “When are we going to start services back in our facility?”  The best answer I can give right now is – soon! Today I cannot give you an exact date, but I think we will know more after the governor’s news conference this coming Friday. He has begun to loosen some of the guidelines already, and I think a return to church services with limitations on service attendance size is near.

Of course, the threat of COVID-19 is not going to suddenly disappear overnight. Even when we return to services here in our facility, we will need to ease back into our programming. We will begin with our Sunday morning worship services, but with no Sunday School, no nursery / childcare, and no Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services. We will, however, continue to livestream a Wednesday evening message, as well as the Sunday morning services. The hope is that in a short period of time we will be able to phase-in a return to Sunday School, our evening services, and childcare for our services.

Thank you for your patience with us as we have tried to do best we could in this difficult situation. I am looking forward to being able to provide something more tangible on our return to in-house services soon.

This Thursday, May 7 th , is the National Day of Prayer . We will gather here at Roseland Park on the grass behind the Fellowship Hall at noon for prayer. Please feel free to bring your lawn chair. I ask that you respect each person’s “space” and practice social distancing. I still encourage those whose health places them in the at-risk category to continue to shelter-in-home. The service will be approximately 30 minutes long. We will sing a song of worship and be led in prayer by various people who will pray for our church, city, state, and nation. We are going to attempt to livestream the service. I am so excited that for the first time in 2 months we will have a chance to gather! I am looking forward to seeing all of you who are able to come!

Remember - The staff, deacons, and I are available for you. Please don’t hesitate to phone us on our cell phones if you have a need.

I love and miss you!
