Partner, EisnerAmper LLP

Hi Everyone.

In June, we had another successful Mid-Atlantic Regional Symposium that was packed with education, networking and fun. I'd like to personally thank co-chair Mark Felger, the Planning Committee, sponsors, speakers, and the nearly 300 attendees from 13 chapters who participated in the Symposium. TMA NextGen hosted an enjoyable summer networking event at Morgan's Pier in August. The TMA Now Committee held the first of their Brown Bag Lunch Series' educational programs last week at the offices of Blank Rome.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone tonight at the 14th Annual Summer Charity Classic benefitting the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project (CBAP) and Casa of Delaware County (CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates).

Lastly, if you want to get more involved with TMA, we have a number of Board slots that are opening up at the end of the year.  Additionally, our committees are always looking for volunteers.  If you are interested, please send Andrea Pauson an email at [email protected]

Please scroll down to learn more about our nonprofit initiative with Compass, welcome our new members, review our members' contributions to the Journal of Corporate Renewal and check out both our chapter and Global TMA calendars of upcoming events.

TMA Philadelphia Proud Partner of Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Compass

The Philadelphia Chapter of the TMA is again proud to partner with the
Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Compass to create opportunities for
TMA membership to volunteer on pro bono consulting projects in the
community. Compass is helping to further TMA's charitable goals and
mission of renewal by leveraging our collective expertise for the
benefit of several non-profit projects throughout the Philadelphia
area.

Compass supports local nonprofit organizations through recruitment of
business professionals that provide pro bono consulting services.
Compass annually conducts a rigorous selection process to pick local
nonprofits that are in need of strategic consulting. Teams of 9 to 10
business professionals work collaboratively with these nonprofits on
projects that include funding strategies, organizational improvement
and board development. The list of TMA members that have participated
is rapidly growing and we are looking to continue that trend.

Compass-sponsored consulting projects are a great way to expand your
network to professionals outside of restructuring while offering an
opportunity to support organizations in need of experienced business
leadership. The moderate time commitment is easily offset by the
education, experience, relationship building and ultimate charitable
act. Not only have the projects been rewarding in terms of helping
the local community, TMA participants have specifically mentioned that
the projects satisfy their firm pro-bono requirements with work that
is much more satisfying than other alternatives.

Please see below for more information, a link to the Team Member
application for the 2017-18 projects and invitation to the Project
Launch event on September 28th. Team member applications are now
available and the deadline to apply is October 5th. Please visit
www.compassprobono.org  or contact Executive Director Beth Dahle at
[email protected] if you are interested in learning more.  Beth
will also be in attendance at the TMA event at SkyGarten on September
12th and can provide more information in person.
