|
|
Crews will install a new drainage system across Ellis. This work will require nightly full closures of Ellis between the Southbound (SB) I-405 freeway ramps and Pacific Street.
Once crews complete the work on Ellis they will switch over to Euclid to install a new drainage system across Euclid. This work will require nightly full closures of Euclid between the freeway ramps and Mount Washington Street.
Note: SB freeway ramps will remain open.
The Ellis nightly street closures are set for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, May 10, to Friday, May 14.
The Euclid nightly street closures are set for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, May 17, to Friday, May 21.

NEW! SB I-405 Loop On-Ramp from Magnolia Street to Close for Approximately Three Months
|
|
Crews will close the southbound (SB) I-405 loop on-ramp from Magnolia
Street for approximately three months to accommodate the freeway
widening.
Activities include removal of the existing ramp, excavation, placement
and compaction of base material, rebar and concrete work, paving,
drainage installation, electrical work and striping.
The SB I-405 loop on-ramp from Magnolia is anticipated to close as early 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 11.

|
Crews will close the NB I-405 on-ramp from Westminster Boulevard for approximately seven weeks to accommodate the freeway widening.

Crews will continue installing falsework for the Brookhurst Street bridge over I-405. This work will require partial and full closures of the NB I-405 between Talbert Avenue and Slater Avenue. Additionally, crews will close the SB I-405 on-ramps from Brookhurst.
The NB I-405 freeway nightly closures are set to continue 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, to Thursday, May 13, on weeknights.

REMINDER! Intermittent Lane Reductions on Magnolia Street Bridge for Civil Work
|
Crews are performing civil work on the Magnolia bridge over I-405. This work requires intermittent lane reductions on Magnolia between Warner Avenue and Heil Avenue.
Remaining activities include electrical, sidewalk, curb and drainage work, as well as traffic signal work.
The intermittent lane reductions are set to continue 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the end of May.

The Talbert lane closures are set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 6, and Friday, May 7.

|
Crews anticipate closing the Warner Avenue bridge for reconstruction later this month. Complete demolition of the bridge is anticipated to occur after the bridge closure.

NEW! Partial I-405 Freeway Lane Reductions for Striping Work for Heil Pedestrian Bridge Reconstruction
|
Crews will perform striping work and install k-rail to begin falsework installation for the new Heil pedestrian bridge over the I-405. This work will require partial lane reductions of the I-405 between Magnolia Street and Newland Street.
The partial I-405 lane reductions are set for 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 12.
Additional closures of the I-405 are anticipated for falsework installation on the Heil pedestrian bridge in late May.

NEW! Partial I-405 Freeway Lane Reductions for Excavation Work for Goldenwest Street Bridge
|
Crews will perform excavation work and pile installation in the center median of the Goldenwest Street bridge over the I-405. This work will require partial lane reductions of the I-405 freeway between Bolsa Avenue and Goldenwest.
The partial I-405 lane closures are set for 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, May 24, for approximately one month.

REMINDER! Nightly Consecutive Ramp Closures Scheduled for Approximately Six Months
|
Nightly closures of the following ramps will be scheduled, as needed, until May 2021 to support bridge construction activities at Magnolia and Brookhurst:
- SB I-405 Loop On-Ramp from Magnolia
- SB I-405 On-Ramp from Warner Avenue
- SB I-405 Loop On-Ramp from Brookhurst
Closure hours are:
- 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights

UPDATE! Partial Lane Closures on Seal Beach Boulevard for Temporary Signal Work
|
Crews anticipate continuing traffic signal and pedestrian ramp construction work at the intersection of Seal Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue.
This work will require lane reductions of Seal Beach Blvd. between Old Ranch Parkway and St. Cloud Drive. Additional closures at the Seal Beach Blvd. and Lampson intersections are anticipated.
Work is anticipated for Monday, May 10, for approximately five weeks on weekdays and weeknights.
- Daytime work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Nighttime work hours are 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

REMINDER! Westbound (WB) SR-22 On-Ramp from Old Ranch Parkway Closed for Approximately 8 Months
|
Crews closed the Old Ranch Parkway on-ramp to the WB SR-22 on April 13, for approximately 8 months to accommodate the freeway widening.
Activities include demolition, excavation, grading, drainage and electrical system installation, concrete pours and asphalt paving.
- Daytime work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Crews may mobilize equipment as early as 6 a.m.
- Nighttime work hours are 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Crews closed the SB I-405 off-ramp to Bolsa Chica on Oct. 27, 2020 for approximately one year to advance construction on the Bolsa Chica bridge.

Crews are forming the footings and columns, and will begin to construct the falsework soon to form the spans over the freeway.
This work requires an extended closure of Heil between Ross Lane and Landau Lane.
The closure began on Wednesday, Dec. 30, and is expected to continue for approximately seven months.
Residential access will be maintained at all times.
