The PTA of HSAS is here to help create a welcoming and supportive school community. As part of our mission, we help fund educational enrichment opportunities for our outstanding student body. Over the past years, the DOE’s funding of our school has shrunk. In light of the impact of the COVID crisis on the City’s budget, we are expecting further reductions to the funding of many of the programs and activities that make HSAS a top school and a thriving educational community. We anticipate the school will rely heavily on the PTA to help support items like:
Lehman College Tuition for the 11th and 12th Grades
Guidance Counseling
Art & Science Supplies
Sport Teams & Extracurricular Clubs
College Fairs, Freshmen Orientation, Class Trips (crossing our fingers), Graduation and more.
While we understand that these are difficult times, we need your support. Please give what you can.

There are many ways you can volunteer at HSAS: organizing and helping at events, participating in committees, selling spirit wear, lending your expertise, etc. The PTA encourages every family to be involved and participate. We welcome new ideas and the enthusiasm to implement them!
