Dear Seniors and Senior Parents,

Well, this certainly is not how any of us imagined your Senior year at YULA Girls would be ending. You have all worked so hard, grown so much, contributed to our school and community in so many ways and we are so looking forward to celebrating all of you and your tremendous accomplishments in the weeks ahead.

There is no doubt that we would have all preferred to have been able to recognize all your achievements and to celebrate all together in person and it profoundly saddens us that, at this time, we will not be able to be together in person to share in your individual and collective simcha .

Rest assured, we are no less proud of you, no less excited for you and no less determined to recognize you and all that you have accomplished during your four years at YULA Girls.

From STUCO to Athletics, from Model UN to YIAC, from Performing Arts to Chessed you have all made your mark on our campus and have been leaders and role models for our underclassmen.

In a month’s time, you will join an exceptional group of women who are proud YULA Girls alumni who have gone on to live our mission, build beautiful families and homes rich with Torah and Yiddeshkeit while also excelling in the workforce as doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, teachers, and business leaders. You will bring your passion, energy, kindness, and thoughtfulness to your seminaries and colleges of choice and you will undoubtedly continue to positively impact all those who are lucky enough to get to know you.

As the graduation countdown begins, here are some important dates to keep in mind:

  • Monday, May 11 - Countdown to Graduation Begins - Time Capsule Project Opens
  • Thursday, May 14 - Senior Bingo Night
  • Friday, May 19 - Last Day of Senior Classes
  • Wednesday - Friday, May 20 - 22 - Senior Seminar
  • Friday, May 22 - Final Senior Kumzitz
  • Tuesday, May 26 - Virtual Sports Banquet
  • Wednesday, May 27 - Senior Speech/Award Night
  • Thursday, June 4 - Virtual Senior Awards Dinner
  • Thursday, June 11 - Class of 2020 Graduation

Regarding Graduation, we continue to explore many different ideas that may include a virtual and drive-thru ceremony, a full fledged car graduation, virtual zoom experience, etc. While it is our number one goal to give our Seniors a personal and in person experience, it all depends on the rules and regulations of our County and State at that time. Due to the fluidity of the situation, we ask for your patience while we continue to plan for all scenarios and see where the situation is in the near future. By remaining patient, it gives all of us the best chance to create a graduation that will be meaningful and unforgettable.

Please look out for the next graduation update email that will be sent on May 15.

We miss you, we love you, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Sincerely,
