Happy Anniversary!

Zion’s story began in 1957 with 35 dedicated people and a mission developer who met at the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce. Only a few months later, the congregation of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (of Pompano Beach—Deerfield Beach) was formally organized as part of the Lutheran Church in America on May 4, 1958.

This week, we celebrate 63 years of ministry and we give thanks for the thousands of individuals (church members, students, graduates, teachers, and families) who have called Zion home at any point in their lives. As we are reminded by the old Sunday School song: "The church is not a building...the church is the people!"
2021 Baccalaureate

We will celebrate Zion's graduating seniors, Kylie Frantello & Bruce Elkins, at worship on Sunday, May 16th at 11:00 a.m. Join us as we celebrate their achievements and ask God's blessing on the next chapters of their lives!
