Dear Pace Community,

In response to growing concerns about the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US State Department have recommended that all nonessential travel to China be suspended at this time.

The health and safety of our students, staff, and faculty is our top priority. Based on the recommendations of the CDC and the State Department, the University has suspended all University-related travel to mainland China. The University’s restriction on travel is effective immediately and will continue until such time that the State Department reduces the level of its travel advisory.

Currently, there are no cases of 2019-nCoV impacting the Pace Community or confirmed cases in New York. There is a lot that is still being learned about this virus, so as a University we must be nimble and vigilant. Though there is no immediate cause for alarm, we will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the health and well-being of our community. We are also strongly encouraging everyone to review the latest prevention guidelines from the CDC .

As always, University Health Care is available as a resource to everyone in our community. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Vanya Quiñones, PhD
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
