Dear Parents,
I am so grateful to have had a wonderful 3-day camping trip thanks to my fabulous staff who always steps in to make sure things run well in my absence.
As mentioned in the last weekly letter we are in receipt of free COVID test kits. We will set them out on Monday and each family is welcome to take 2 kits. If you have two kids in our school you may take 4 kits. When you take them, please sign next to your name. The kits expire one year from the lot date on the boxes.
We are so excited about our upcoming Halloween Happening Event taking place on Thursday 10/28. We will continue to accept donations of candy items for our bags for homeless kids and non-candy items for our costume parade. Remember to send your child in their costumes with a change of clothing (school uniform) in a plastic bag. Also no masks, toys, weapons or electronics.
Finally, next Friday 10/29 is a Miami Dade Schools Teacher Planning Day. This means that we are open but attendance for VPK, Kindergarten, First, and Second Graders is optional on 10/29. Those who choose not to attend will not be marked absent.
