Yesterday was a great day of worship! The music was awesome, and the choir knocked it out of the park. Bob Gunn and Andrew McKnight were phenomenal in combining blue grass guitar (Bob) and classical cello (Andrew) to produce a moving rendition of Amazing Grace.
We welcomed Phyllis Seal back home on promise of her church letter. Phyllis has lived away from Picayune for a number of years, and it is good to have her back. Please make her feel welcome when you see her.
I want to thank Lori Replogle and all of her chaperones and workers who combined to make last week’s Kid’s Camp at Waukaway Springs such a success! The children had a wonderful time worshipping and learning about Jesus in small group Bible studies. And, they even managed to squeeze in some fun with hiking, games, and swimming! Ethan Wilson is on the camp staff there this summer, so it was a joyful reunion for both him and the kids. I also want to thank you, church, for supporting them and making their camp experience possible!
Folks, we are inching our way toward achieving the amount needed to build our gym. I am confident we are going to get there. However, the longer it takes to have the money in hand, the greater the chances that construction and material estimates will change. May we pray as if it all depends upon God, and give as if it all depends upon us!
The LORD will reign forever!
Dan
