In addition, please note that all  LWSD schools and playgrounds are closed.

Lake Washington School District playgrounds, athletic facilities and covered play areas are closed until further notice. These closures are by order of King County Public Health and the State of Washington.

Ballfields and playfields are open for walking and other non-team activities. Pick-up games, picnics and other large gatherings are not permitted.

We encourage families to maintain social distancing guidelines when you are walking, hiking or biking in your local parks and neighborhoods.
STUDENT RETURN VERIFICATION FORM

At this time each school year, we ask for our elementary families to complete an "Elementary Student Verification" form. This is a simple form that lets us know whether or not your student will return to our school next fall. By completing this form, you are helping us with our enrollment projections for the coming year. Having accurate enrollment projections allows us to hire the necessary staff to support our students in the next school year.

We need this information as soon as possible. We hope to have all forms returned by Monday, March 30 at the latest.

You can provide us with this important information by using either of the two methods below:
  • METHOD 1: Complete the online form available here.
OR
  • METHOD 2: Print THIS form, complete it, and return the form to school by either scanning it in and emailing an electronic copy to our registrar (mmobley@lwsd.org) or by mailing the form to the school at 11125 162nd Avenue NE, Redmond, WA  98052.

MATH
MATH CHALLENGE #11 & #12
Answers available March 20th & April 3rd respectively

Math Challenge #11 & #12 are now available here .  During the school closure Math Challenges will be self-corrected at home, when the answers become available, by student and caregiver.  The solutions can be reached with the above link.  

When your student's Math Challenge is complete, please fill out and submit THIS  form to us.  Your student will then get credit for recognition awards.  If your student turned in a paper copy of Math Challenge #11 to their teacher before the school closure, please fill out the form for MC #11 as we may not have received their paper.

Please feel free to try more questions than the minimum required for your grade level in order to qualify. Grab some friends and family and work on the challenges together!

Bugle Article Submissions Welcome
  
The Beagle Bugle welcomes article submissions from students and parents .  Student journalists may submit articles about current events, students opinion-editorials and poems or short stories.  Parents may submit articles about PTA events and school related topics. 

Any article that is unrelated to PTA or Rockwell must be approved by the Lake Washington School District, and may be submitted to the Peach Jar E-flyer system.  The Lake Washington School District website has more information on the submission and approval process.

Short pieces will be edited for inclusion in the Bugle, longer pieces will be posted on the website with a link in the Bugle.  The Deadline for submissions for the next weekly Bugle is the preceding Thursday.  The Bugle Staff reserves the right to be selective regarding the materials that are publicized.
