Our Continuing Adaptations to This Coronavirus Season – a Note From Keith
Hi friends,
Thank you for your help and understanding with the changes we have had to make in our church patterns during this Coronavirus season. Again this week the Governor has issued new decrees, and we were gratefully already operating within these.
We’re making this up as we go, but some pieces are already working, such as our livestreamed worship. We had over 130 households tuned in both Sundays during the actual livestream hour, and many more since! Special thanks go to our musicians and techs! It has been a scramble, but it’s working, and we’re getting more proficient as we go.
Some other pieces that we’re working to put in place are:
- Small group gatherings via video conferencing
- Video networked classes (see Tommy and Ross’ classes described below),
- And appropriate means of caring for each other, especially the sick and elderly.
As I wrote you last week, you have some champion Elders! God is guiding. And as always, the Kingdom is advancing, not retreating.
This is a hard season, but not without some gifts God would give to us and through us. Let’s discover them together!
Blessings,
Keith
PS – Plans for livestreaming Holy Week services (Maundy Thursday and Good Friday) with our sister churches, Christ Presbyterian and Community West, are in the works. So stay tuned!
