Get your seat at the table. EVLT's
Farm to Fork returns August 17, 2017 at the private Scudder Webster Ranch.
Contact EVLT about remaining table sponsorships.
|
In the heart of the peaceful Lake Creek Valley, just south of Edwards, the enormous private Scudder-Webster Ranch has defined the look and feel of the landscape for generations. These two families have worked the land together, and protected its natural resources and extraordinary wildlife habitat.
Now you can experience this private ranch with Eagle Valley Land Trust at its annual
Farm to Fork dinner, our biggest fundraiser.
You can also join us only for Garden to Glass, a cocktail hour reception prior to dinner where the valley's best bartenders compete to create the best cocktail, as determined by you and your friends, and using locally sourced ingredients.
Individual tickets and table sponsor packages are available. For more information
Stroll in the meadow under the towering Sawatch Range and be a part of the Scudder-Webster family for an evening of fun under the moonshine.
Thank you for helping to conserve our most cherished lands.

1,540 acre Hardscrabble Ranch Conserved
|
|
|
The 1,540-acre Hardscrabble Ranch was purchased by Eagle County on Monday, July 31st. EVLT helped raise more than $250,000 to conserve this open space of statewide importance.
|
The
Our Valley campaign, coordinated by EVLT, has raised more than $250,000 towards the County's conservation of Hardscrabble Ranch, which closed July 31st.
The 1,540 acre property stretches for 3.3 miles along Brush Creek Road and includes 8 miles of boundary contiguity with adjacent BLM land. The project protects 2.5 miles of riparian habitat along Brush and Salt Creeks, as well as 25 cfs of senior water rights. Hardscrabble serves as very important wildlife habitat for numerous species, including critical winter range for deer and elk.
The effort was coordinated by The Conservation Fund and Eagle County Open Space, with significant funding assistance from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), Eagle Ranc
h Wildlife Committee, Town of Eagle, and Trout Unlimited.
Upon the County's receipt of the GOCO funds this fall, a conservation easement will be granted to EVLT to ensure the permanent protection of the property for all future generations, both human and animal, to enjoy.

The CSU study explains the public benefit of conserving lands like Bair Ranch in western Eagle County.
|
Investing In Colorado, a new study released by CSU last week, details the value of the public benefits produced by conservation easements funded by Colorado taxpayers.
Public benefits include clean water and air, scenic views, and access to things produced by local farms, ranches and wildlife habitat: all things that contribute to a high quality of life in the state. Read more about the study here.
