EBMUD Seeks Developer Input
In preparation for the release of an updated system capacity charge study, the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is seeking developers to participate in a stakeholder meeting from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Feb. 19, 2020. EBMUD supplies drinking water and treats wastewater in portions of Contra Costa and Alameda counties. The updated study will be used to set future connection fees. City of Sunnyvale Housing Strategy Study Session
On Tuesday, February 4th in the Sunnyvale City Hall Council Chambers (456 W. Olive Ave., Sunnyvale) the Sunnyvale City Council will hold a study session on the preliminary Housing Strategy policy recommendations.  The Housing Strategy Study Issue was proposed to study the overall local housing context given growing concern about mobile home park preservation, and housing affordability and availability in Sunnyvale. After a year of outreach and research, the City Council will review draft policy recommendations and provide general feedback prior to the draft Housing Strategy being finalized.
San Jose Envision Task Force Recommends Elimination of Urban Village Horizon
On Thursday, January 30th at the conclusion of lengthy discussion, debate and public comment, a majority of the Envision Task Force members voted to adopt a motion by BIA task force representative Pat Sausedo to eliminate the General Plan Urban Village Horizon Policy. Full Story
Marina Coast Water District to Revise Proposed Water and Sewer Fees
BIA Bay Area and member builders in the Ford Ord Reuse Area have successfully convinced MCWD to significantly revise water and sewer masterplans to account for future development plans nearby cities. After months of meetings, review, and builder push back, MCWD agreed to include 4 large Marina and Seaside planning areas that were omitted from the draft master plans. Full Story
San Mateo Inclusionary Policies Update
The City of San Mateo City Council will review inclusionary housing Staff recommendations and an accompanying feasibility study at its February 3rd  meeting, potentially increasing inclusionary dedication percentages and tightening developers' flexibility. Full Story
