Recognizing Hospital Chaplains, CPE Teams and
Spiritual Caregiver COVID-19 (Coronavirus) First Responders
_________________________________________________

The San Francisco Interfaith Council (SFIC) and its constituent communities of faith, lift up  our City's hospital chaplains, Clinical Pastoral Education teams and all spiritual care givers embedded in San Francisco's health care institutions. Along with other COVID-19 (Coronavirus) medical first  responders, these unsung heroes are deserving of prayerful recognition, as they continue to selflessly  provide critical spiritual and pastoral care to the hospitalized. The SFIC asks the leaders of San Francisco's 800 communities of faith to hold these special ministers and their loved ones deeply in prayer, most especially in those worship services offered on their respective days of observance.

PLEASE NOTE: On March 13, 2020, The San Francisco Department of Public Health issued   Order of the Health Officer No. C19-06  legally limiting admission to our City's hospitals and medical facilities to essential healthcare workers. Sensitive to the hardship this order has placed on immediate relatives and loved ones, clergy called upon by their congregants to make pastoral hospital visitations are advised to contact the spiritual care centers listed below for guidance and advice on how best to provide distance ministry to their hospitalized faithful.
