Episode 12, April 23, 2020
Hi everyone,

Welcome to Tony's Tap TV. Episode 12.

We start this episode out with another tap cartoon from the archives, followed by a link to some fun raw footage from Tap City 2004. It was sent to me by our friend Steven Harper in Brazil. Check it out, it's really a treat. You'll see why.

Then we do an International Tap Dance Hall of Fame tribute to Carnell Lyons.

Next we have a clip from my Tap Basics Instructional Video that focuses on SHUFFLE STEPS.

And then last but not least I've included a nice little number from Tap City 2008. Check it out, it's a Sand Dance piece created and performed by Susan Hebach, Claudia Rahardjanoto and yours truly. We did good!

PS: One more time, ARTISTS, check out the link below to the Howard Gilman Foundation. It's a list of places and organizations that you can apply to for Covid-19 related funding as an independent artist, dancer, singer, actor or musician. It's a great resource all in one place.

Check this out. Steven Harper in Brazil participated in Tap City 2004 and while he was here he videotaped a few really special moments that he was kind enough to send me. This was an impromptu jam that took place and you'll recognize a few very important characters that were caught on film. Thanks Steven!
Today's International Tap Dance Hall of Fame is a tribute to Carnell Lyons who was inducted in 2014. Check out this amazing tribute performed by Tap and Tray from Germany (Kurt Albert & Klaus Bleis).

And here is a SAND DANCE piece created and performed by Susan Hebach, Claudia Rahardjanoto and myself from Tap City 2008.
