SCHOOL CLOSURES
Lake Washington School District is committed to supporting our children and community through these unprecedented times. On Thursday 3/12/20, Governor Inslee announced that
all schools will need to close until April 24
. This extends our original March 27 closure date by nearly an additional month. Below are updates regarding nutrition, supervision, activities, trips, and educational services during this time period.
In addition, please note that all
LWSD school playgrounds are closed.
Lake Washington School District playgrounds, athletic facilities and covered play areas are closed until further notice. These closures are by order of King County Public Health and the State of Washington.
Ballfields and playfields are open for walking and other non-team activities. Pick-up games, picnics and other large gatherings are not permitted.
We encourage families to maintain social distancing guidelines when you are walking, hiking or biking in your local parks and neighborhoods.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping to slow the transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
