How Interpreters Help Us Fight Covid-19

Accurate medical information is more important, and more in demand, than ever before. Sixty-four percent of Language Services Providers report an increase in demand for interpretation in the health sector in the last year, with 59% reporting a higher demand from the life sciences, medical, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Inaccurate interpretation can spread misinformation and lead to devastating effects, like it did for the Spanish-speaking community that was affected by this blunder in Virginia. People need access to medical information in their native languages in order for everyone to safely navigate the pandemic.

“Thank you so much Susanne to you and your team during this challenging time. You've stepped up to get things to us quickly and because we're in healthcare, we have policies that are changing by the hour and it's been imperative that we get signage updated and in clinics and hospitals. I am so grateful to have a partner who is going above and beyond our expectations.”

Services
With the COVID-19 pandemic, our operations changed dramatically in a matter of hours. We started working remotely through video conferences with our clients to provide accurate translation and interpretation of healthcare content. Because of the importance of relaying unfamiliar medical terminology, it is important to work with a company that provides both translation and localization services for the healthcare industry. Our healthcare interpreters and translators are experts at relaying important concepts, such as "social distancing" or "acute respiratory illness" to patients and the public in any language.
