Message From the Principal

Dear Sullivan Families,

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at materials pick up on Monday, August 17th, and on the first day of virtual school on Wednesday, August 19th.

On the 17th, materials pickup for 4th grade is from 9AM-11AM, and 5th grade materials pickup is from 1PM-3PM. Classroom teachers will be present to hand out materials and greet their students.

To facilitate pickup of materials, please have a sign in your car window with your child's name and the teacher's name. Refer to the map below for the traffic pattern for pickup. Please drive slowly, use caution, and be patient as we hand out materials for our students. If you cannot pick up materials at the designated time, materials may be picked up on Tuesday, August 18th from 3PM-5PM.

By now, you should have received communication from your child's classroom teachers and specials teachers. Linked below is a short introductory video and virtual tour of Sullivan. Please take a few minutes to view this with your child!

Have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing you next week!

Warmly,

Traci Meziere

Sullivan Band and Orchestra Update

Due to the remote start to the school year, we are making some changes to our band and orchestra programs for the month of September. Please read the attached letter to read about the changes at each grade level.
Creating a Home Workspace

As we prepare to start the school year remotely, now is a good time to think about your child’s workspace at home. Students should work in a comfortable area with as few distractions as possible. Students will need their charged iPad daily, as well as easy access to pencils, pens, regular and dry erase markers, notebooks, and school-provided materials. Teachers have created amended supply lists so families can purchase only what they need to start the year, and replenish supplies as needed, and purchase additional supplies when we return to in-person instruction. Click the on the links below to see the remote learning supply lists.
Anne Sullivan Elementary School Expectations
Teachers will be reviewing expectations during the first weeks, as we always do at the start of the year. Our core expectations of being safe, respectful, and responsible are in place whether we are learning in person or virtually. Our expectations matrix is included below for your reference. Also included are some helpful visuals that outline expected and unexpected behaviors in a virtual setting. Please review these expectations with your children.
Technology Information
Parent & Student Technology Guides: Make sure to check out our tutorials about how to use the programs and apps that we will use for instruction this year.
