CURRENT COMMUNITY MITIGATION LEVEL
SUBSTANTIAL TO SHELTER IN PLACE

The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, employees, visitors and businesses are priority one for Hot Springs Village. We encourage social distancing or sheltering in place to prevent COVID19 from spreading in our community.

Many of our local businesses offer delivery, online ordering, gift certificates and other creative methods to serve their customers while maintaining safe distancing. Please support these businesses.

We encourage you to visit our webpage  https://explorethevillage.com/members/hsv-covid-19/ that is being used to provide the latest updates, including closings and postponements.

State of Arkansas
Today, Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced that the restrictions on elective surgeries in Arkansas will start being rolled back on Monday, April 27. Only patients who are going in for outpatient surgery will be allowed at this point with no overnight stays. The person seeking the surgery cannot show symptoms of COVID-19 or come in contact with a person who has had it within the prior 14 days.

Hutchinson said that decisions on rolling back restrictions on restaurants will be made April 29, gyms on April 30, beauty salons and barbershops on May 1 and houses of worship and other large gatherings on May 4.

He said that May 4 is still the target date to begin Phase 1 of the restriction rollback as recommended by the White House

Hutchinson said that there have been 2,276 COVID-19 cases in Arkansas. Currently, there are 1,371 active cases of COVID-19. Of the active cases, 97 are hospitalized with 23 on ventilators. There are 170 cases among nursing home residents and 31 nursing homes are under investigation.

So far there have been 849 recoveries and 42 deaths. The death count is down one from yesterday due to a Missouri resident being counted among the Arkansas deaths.

A statewide map is available that shows national, state and county numbers in regards to COVID-19. As of April 22 at 2:30 p.m., the United States deaths attributed to COVID-19 are 45,950.

Golf
With golfers riding alone, there have been more carts driving on our fairways. Recently, there has been a rash of golf carts getting stuck on our courses. The superintendents at each course are going above and beyond to allow carts off the paths and are roping off some wet areas. They cannot rope off all areas, so we need the help of the golfers.

1. You must avoid all the wet spots!

2. When driving on fairways and do not get caught in any areas without a path back to the cart path.

3. Abide by the 90-degree cart rule and return to the cart path immediately avoiding all wet areas. Stay on the paths as much as possible, do not drive down the middle of the fairways.

4. Use common sense or golfers will lose the privilege of the 90-degree rule. We need to be mindful of this to protect our beautiful courses.
