These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Chaplain's Corner
Dear Parents,

I miss updating you regularly on what God is doing in our chapel program and on our campus. I do believe, very firmly, that God is still moving within our Prince community, and I'd like to take this space to offer a brief challenge and encouragement to you all as we embrace the season in which we find ourselves.

The challenge is one we find in Ephesians 6:4 where parents are instructed to "bring them [your children] up in the instruction of the Lord." This is certainly a task we as parents are honored to have, but it is also humbling. It can feel daunting, especially when we recognize our own limitations. We all struggle in our own right to walk in the instruction of the Lord, much less lead someone else in it. I find encouragement, though, when I am reminded of the words Moses spoke to the people in Deuteronomy 6:6-7, and I want to extend them to you as encouragement as well.

"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

We are not asked to be experts; we are just asked to be faithful and to talk with our children about it. The best way we can serve them is by bringing our relationship with Christ into our daily lives and talking about it with them. I want to encourage everyone to take some of the extra time and close quarters that we are experiencing and create some space to talk about Jesus as a family.

I am praying for you all. We miss your students in our hallways, but we are excited to see how God uses this current time to shape us all into the people He created us to be!
