TRINITY KICKS OFF ANNUAL
PLANT SALE FUNDRAISER
It's time to think spring!

Trinity Lutheran kicked off its 12th annual Plant Sale fundraiser on Monday.

This year's theme is Cross Training ... Always Growing.

If you are interested in ordering plants and vegetables, you can do so through a Trinity student or by clicking here .

There also will be Plant Sale order forms in the rack across from the school office. Completed order forms can be submitted to the school office.

All orders can be picked up at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on April 30-May 2.

The goal for this year's sale is $74,000 in pre-sale orders. Stay tuned for more details.

LENTEN SERVICES, DINNERS
Trinity Lutheran's midweek Lenten services continue this week and during the remaining Wednesdays in Lent. Services are at 12:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
In addition to the worship services, there also are Lenten Dinners that begin at 5:p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
This Wednesday (March 4), Trinity's middle school marine biology group will be serving chili and a potato bar. The cost is free, but a free-will offering will be taken.
Funds raised will go toward the group's educational trip to Florida in June.

March 4: Marine Biology Group will serve chili and potato bar.
March 11 : Youth will be serving tacos.
March 18: Altar Guild will be serving soup.
March 25: Generosity Ministry Team will be serving sloppy joes.
April 1: Trinity's faculty will be serving breakfast for dinner.
150TH ANNIVERSARY
Trinity Lutheran will be celebrating its second of four 150th anniversary celebrations on May 3.
Pastor Joseph Cunningham (pictured) will serve as the guest preacher. The celebration also will include a potluck lunch and a presentation.
The theme of the celebration is: Rejoice Always.
Trinity also will have celebrations on Sept. 13 and Oct. 25. Thank you to all those who attended the first celebration at the end of January.
Just a reminder that there are many Trinity artifacts that you can check out in the main entrance of the church.
We hope that you can make plans to join us in these marvelous celebrations.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Trinity Lutheran continues to support future pastors, deaconess, musicians and teachers to ensure faithful, trained workers are able to accept calls to His church through scholarships.
These scholarships are available to members of TLCS who are enrolled in degree programs that support LCMS future called vocations.
Applicants can contact LTC (Retired) Steven Wall at steve.wall@trinitydavenport.org . Contact must be made by May 1. Include the following: Verified enrollment, biography and a short essay on future plans for a called vocation.
SPRING CLEANING DATES
Trinity will be hosting a couple of spring cleaning dates. We hope that you can make plans to join us.
Clean for the King: March 28. We will be cleaning and oiling pews, cleaning windows, checking dark corners for pesky dust and cobwebs. We will start at 8 a.m. Work as long as you can. Lunch will be provided.
Outdoor Cleanup: May 9. Gathering trash, leaves and sticks. Mulching, cleaning windows, walls, walkways. Filling cracks in the parking lot, patching potholes. Sprucing up lawn equipment. Sign up to help at the Welcome Center.
NEED-TO-KNOW ITEMS
PRESIDENT SAUNDERS VISITING: Iowa District East President Brian Saunders will be Trinity's guest preacher this weekend. President Saunders also will be sharing a presentation on mission opportunities during the Sunday morning Bible study hour.
THANK YOU: Thank you to all those who helped with the Trinity Hall ceiling tile project. Your time, effort and muscles were greatly appreciated.
FORUM RECAP: Trinity's Board of Directors hosted a congregational forum this past Sunday (March 1) in regards to the immediate and long-term direction of the Lord's work here. Stay tuned for more details about the forum. There will be a follow-up forum on March 29.
CONCESSION CLEAN OUT: On Sunday, March 8, you are welcome to head to the kitchen by the gym to pick up lunch for your family. Trinity Athletics will be serving hot dogs, walking tacos, nachos, pretzels, chips, soda and gatorade. Serving will begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue while supplies last (or until 12:30). Free-will donations accepted for athletic equipment costs.

MARCH 25: Lenten services at 12:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and dinner that begins at 5 p.m.

MARCH 28: Clean for the King day.

MARCH 29: Congregational forum at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
