Lots of holiday cheer to share in today's daily announcement video, and of course, warm wishes for a safe, healthy, and happy holiday break! See you next year!
National Ugly Sweater Day
What says holiday cheer more than an UGLY SWEATER?!?
Happy National Ugly Sweater Day! Shoutout to all of you around the school sporting your ugliest sweater! Ugly is in the eye of the beholder, as some of your sweaters are actually quite colorful and attractive, while others are quite hideous and hilarious! No matter what type of "ugly" you are sporting today, show it off by taking a picture of yourself in your ugly sweater and direct messaging the picture to our Instagram page @kmhsstudentsenate. We will post the best pictures you send in and have you vote for them over break!

As for our Holiday Color Wars competition yesterday....the results are in....and it couldn't have been any closer...

Based on the tally submitted by advisors, the upperclassmen totaled 74 participants in the color wars, and the underclassmen totaled...75! Freshman and Sophomores have more Holiday Spirit by ONE PERSON! Well done everyone!!

As for the results from our Holiday Movie Trivia Kahoot:
  • In third place, Mr. Adamczyk's advisory! (Beating out Buntman's advisory by 1 point! Which is saying something with over 40,000 points totaled)
  • In second place, Ms. Hayes advisory!
  • And in first place, Ms. Kean's advisory!

Today's advisory challenge is a Holiday Word Search!! Good luck, have fun, and thank you to all advisories that participated in this year's Holiday Spirit Week!
Hello 11th-grade students, parents, and guardians:

SAVE THE DATE! The Kettle Moraine High School Counseling Team would like to invite you to a virtual post high school planning presentation on Tuesday, January 12th at 6:00 pm. The information provided will cover: the junior/senior timeline, post high school options, and details about college entrance criteria and financial aid/scholarship opportunities. Our goal is to help provide each student with a smooth transition for life beyond high school. A link to enter the presentation will be shared out the week before the event.

Following this event, counselors will set up an individual conference with each junior to assist with their personal academic and career planning. Parents will receive notification of their student's meeting and are invited to join us virtually for the conference.
In closing, we would like to review communication tools our department uses to share important information around post high school planning.
  • Laser Update! - bi-weekly campus publication, which includes a counseling newsletter to share resources and information for all grade level students and families.
  • Daily announcements - Counseling Center events and resources communication.
  • KMHS website: Counseling page - post high school planning information (college resources, testing, financial aid/scholarships).

We look forward to working with our juniors.
