This Sunday, August 16th we're excited to start meeting back in person for The Vine (Grades 9-12) and Merge (Grades 6-8)! We’ll meet in room ED02 at 9:15a. (Note that service times have switched back to 9:15a and 11a).

This weekend, we're starting a new series that will lead us through the next four weeks called CONTRAST. It's a study through 1 John that will explore the following themes:

August 16: Light/Dark

August 23: Believe/Deny

August 30: Obey/Rebel

September 6: Love/Fear

With abbreviated service times currently running just over an hour, we'll be in a streamlined (one hour) format through at least Labor Day that will will be a little different than normal. Currently our normal discussion groups and Sunday evening programming (Small Groups/Crux 78) are tentatively scheduled to begin September 13th.

We're currently following local guidelines for Covid 19, taking extra measures for increased sanitation. Masks will be required at The Vine/Merge, and our room is spaced out to encourage physical distancing. By request, students and leaders joining us in person for The Vine/Merge will also have the opportunity to watch the main service (streamed live) at 11a from room ED02. We hope to see you Sunday at 9:15a.

Merge (Middle School Grades 6-8) & The Vine (High School Grades 9-12) will kick off on August 16th for Students entering grades 6-12 this fall.

Chapel Rock’s Children’s Ministry is looking forward to re-starting in person on Sunday, September 6.

Things will look a little different with COVID-19 safety measures in place and the realignment of grades 5--8. Student Pastor Nick Wilkes will be overseeing 7th and 8th grade programming, while the students going into 5th and 6th grades will now be considered part of Elementary Ministry. This move is to align us with the MSD of Wayne Township’s divisions of grades. However, the 6th graders will continue to participate with the Student Ministry on Sunday mornings until a new Elementary Pastor is hired. The new 5th graders will stay in the Elementary Ministry with revised curriculum. Once an Elementary Pastor is hired decisions will be made on how to best serve this age group.

In this time of transition and COVID-19, Children’s Ministry is working hard to keep the kids engaged and safe. In accordance with current local mandates, face masks will be required. Hand sanitizer will be available and room sanitization protocols will be in place. Please contact the Chapel Rock office should you have any additional questions or concerns.

The House Church kit includes scripture readings related to the message of the week, along with discussion questions for you and your family to dig into together. It's a great way to make the most of the opportunities that we have to engage with one another in this season.

The discussion questions found in the House Church Kit that go along with each week's sermon are a great way for middle school and high school students that are normally in the rhythm of engaging in discussion groups at Merge/The Vine, to engage in a conversation about the sermon as a family.

The house church kit will be uploaded/updated on Saturday of each week for the following day's message/sermon.
