The SBA Paycheck Protection Program has re-opened and will be accepting applications through August 8.
This loan is forgivable if certain criteria are met. Information is available at
SBA.gov.

Los Angeles County is offering a $3 million grant fund for microenterprises, small businesses and nonprofits.
Administered by LISC LA, the fund offers grants of $5,000-15,000, loans, and technical assistance. The next application period will be July 20-24.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, BizFed and the BizFed Institute have partnered with all 39 State Senators and Assemblymembers representing Los Angeles County, the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC), and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Los Angeles Locals to mass mobilize the collection and donation of much needed personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies to protect frontline workers.

Governor Newsom has announced the re-closure of indoor operations of additional businesses statewide and added counties to the more strict guidelines of the "County Monitoring List." Citing the continued rise in COVID-19 cases as the concern, the following order has been issued:

here are now 30 counties on the County Monitoring List, including Los Angeles. Any county that remains on the list for a period of 3 consecutive days must abide by stricter standards that the state decides.

In an effort to allow restaurants to thrive and offer consumers another dining option, the City of LA is issuing 90-day permits to local restaurants to create outdoor seating spaces.
Participating businesses also receive barricades, planters, umbrellas and access to pro bono design by the American Institute of Architects or American Society of Landscape Architects.

Bank of America announced that it is making a $1 billion, four-year commitment of additional support to help local communities address economic and racial inequality accelerated by a global pandemic. The programs will be focused on assisting people and communities of color that have experienced a greater impact from the health crisis.

Wells Fargo announced that it will not keep any portion of its PPP processing fees, but will donate approximately $400 Million to help small businesses keep their doors open, retain employees, and rebuild.
