We Miss Your Faces!
The most important element of St. Catherine's Montessori is our community, and that means YOU!

Just because we are apart, does not mean we can't see each other! Send us photos of you living, learning, and enjoying family time - we would love to share them with our community to help us all stay connected!

Send photos and short video clips to [email protected] and tag St. Catherine's Montessori in your Facebook posts.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
First Day of Learning from Home
Today our students jumped back into learning with the launch of our Learning from Home programs. We hope this week is filled with happy virtual reunions and that students, families, and guides find new rhythms and schedules as we all adjust to this new way of learning.

Although we cannot exactly replicate what happens in our classrooms, our goal is to create a Montessori-based framework and, working in collaboration with parents, keep alive the culture of learning that makes St. Catherine's special.

It's been a joy to witness classrooms gathering via Zoom to pray together, establish rules for their virtual communities, and apply their curiosity and love of learning in a new context. We are excited for what the coming weeks of Learning from Home will bring!

Grandparents, We Miss Your Faces Too!
We miss seeing your waving hands at morning drop-off and after-school dismissal, as well your smiling faces when you enter the Welcome Center.

During this time apart, St. Catherine’s wants to make sure that our grandparents continue to feel connected to our school community. Please email us photos and videos that show how you are doing and how you're safely connecting with loved ones.

Grandparents are among our most loyal and supportive Globe readers, and we hope you will continue to enjoy the newsletter as a touchstone to the community.

Parents: Please make sure that contact information for grandparents is up-to-date by reviewing the information you have on file in ParentsWeb .
Join SCM On a Whim
SCM On a Whim is our PSO-sponsored informal Google group - a great forum for parents to share resources and connect. If you didn't join at the beginning of the school year, now is a great time to do so.

Recent threads include ways to support SCM family-owned businesses; sewing patterns for hair covers, gowns and masks that can be donated to our local healthcare providers; and resources for activities to do at home.

Review the On a Whim info sheet and contact the group coordinator, Sarah Scherschel, at [email protected] . Be sure to include your name, whose class you are in, and your preferred email address(es).
OUR FAITH IN ACTION
Praying as a family is an important part of growing in our faith. There are many ways to support this important aspect of life. We were not be able to gather today for our planned Mass, but we can still share in the Holy Mass using many available online resources.
