Because Lutherans listen for God's call,
we follow procedures set in place for the health and well being of all our neighbors. What is God calling you to do, or not to do, right now?
We are in this together. We are better together. We may be apart, but we are not alone.

CHRIST IN OUR HOME
April, May, June 2020
If you are a devoted reader of Christ in Our Home, please pick up a copy outside the Mountain Street Door.
|
|
ILLUSTRATED MINISTRY'S Weekly Coloring Page is titled "God calls me..." and allows for a variety of possibilities for reflection:
- What is God calling me to do, or not do, right now?
- Who is God calling me to be?
- What name is it that God calls me?

During these uncertain times, it is important to remember that none of us have ever, EVER, preached, planned, worshiped, supported, or otherwise been the church during a world-wide pandemic such as this. What will Holy Week look like? What is God calling us to do during these holiest of days? Pastor Marcus and Pastor Kelsie are busy gathering resources, collaborating with colleagues, and creatively exploring how to proceed in the next few weeks. Please pray for them and with them. Keep your eyes bright for the meaning of Easter, the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to be revealed in unexpected ways.

March 25, 2020 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
The health of our church family, and of the public, is important to the Council and Staff of Emanuel' Lutheran Church. As we monitor the situation, the following provisions are now in place:
- Worship services on campus are suspended indefinitely. When City/State sanctions are lifted we will resume gatherings. This includes all campus activities.
- Office Staff is working from home and participating in remote online staff meetings.
- Nursing home visits are suspended.
- Hospital visitation is limited. Pastors may not have access to patients.
- Council Members will contact Emanuel's members as information needs to be shared.
Things we CAN do at this time:
- Worship with us online!
- Follow us on Facebook and join our Daily Devotional page.
- Let the office know if you or a loved one is in the hospital. We are checking emails and voicemails frequently.
- Practice good Stewardship. Continue your financial support for the ongoing ministries of ELC by giving online or mailing contributions to the church.
- Keep in touch with your Pew Pals. Need a virtual Pew Pal? Call the church office and we will pair you up.
- Pray daily with us at every day 12:05.

Avoid Coronavirus Scams
Scammers are taking advantage of fears surrounding the Coronavirus.
- Hang up on robocalls.
- Fact-check information.
- Know who you’re buying from.
- Don’t respond to texts and emails about checks from the government. The details are still being worked out. Anyone who tells you they can get you the money now is a scammer.
- Don’t click on links from sources you don’t know.
- Ignore online offers for vaccinations.
- Do your homework when it comes to donations, whether through charities or crowdfunding sites.
