Pastor's Note: Prayers of Desperation
The two parables on prayer in Luke 18:1-14 carry a common theme: desperation. The widow is desperate and cries for retributive justice in the face of her adversary/accuser (Luke 18:3; see Revelation 6:10 and Romans 12:19). But she has a second opponent in the parable: the unresponsive, godless, contemptuous judge. However, the "unrighteous judge" ends up granting her justice because he is so inconvenienced by her constant pestering (he couldn't care less about the merits of her case)... ( read more)

Changes in TCC's Office Hours

As of March 25, TCC's physical office will be closed out of an abundance of caution. The phones and email messages continue to be monitored and answered as the support staff works from home.
Supporting TCC During this Critical Time

If you are able to continue to support TCC financially during this difficult season, we thank you for your generosity. While some ministry expenses are reduced as we move to virtual services and programming, we still have fixed costs associated with the building, we need to invest in some new equipment and technology and we want to continue to pay our staff (the largest line item in our budget). The Staff and the Finance Committee are committed to exploring areas and ways to take cost cutting measures if necessary.

People have asked about the best ways to give. Listed below are options. If you have any questions or need help, please feel free to contact Aimee Mury, TCC’s Contributions Clerk, at contributions@tccwayland.org .

Holy Week and Easter - Virtual Choir!

Music has the power to bring us together despite current social distancing. We are hard at work assembling a virtual choir to make Holy Week and Easter special.

If you would like to participate, simply head over to  this page  and follow the instructions. We’d love to have not only regular choir members but those that have moved away, those that can’t regularly participate, and students and children as well! #Choirantine!
