FROM THE CITY OF MONTEREY
COVID-19 Local Update - in Brief
March 26, 2020
ABOUT THE STAY AT HOME ORDER
We have heard from a few people that the Recreation Trail and beaches are being fairly widely used, especially by young people. While the orders to stay home to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus do allow people to get outside and go for walks and bike rides for both mental and physical health, we recommend you plan those activities in your neighborhood as much as possible. For the welfare of the community, the City has temporarily closed all courts, including basketball, tennis, and beach volleyball.

We just updated our web page, monterey.org/coronavirus with links that explain what's allowed during this unprecedented time. Please review these links to make sure you are aware of what the orders mean:

If you have more questions, please contact the Monterey County Health Department Hotline (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm) Call: 769-8700 or 755-4521

Stay at home - for you and for those you love. Thank you for doing your part to flatten the curve!
