On Thursday, March 26th at 2pm, the DNA will host State Senator Cristina Castro and State Representative Anna Moeller for a Virtual Town Hall Meeting to answer questions important to Elgin Small Business Owners in relation to the state of Illinois’ Coronavirus response and relief efforts.

Downtown Elgin Businesses Owners Facebook Group - This week DNA began launching a Facebook Group specifically for Downtown Elgin business owners and operators. Our goal is to provide you a forum you can use to stay connected with each other, to collaborate, share ideas and ask questions, plus provide DNA another effective way to share information with you. QuickBooks/Go FundMe Resource - To help small businesses affected by Coronavirus, QuickBooks is teaming up with GoFundMe to launch the Small Business Relief Initiative. QuickBooks is committing up to $1 million through a fund and employee-directed contributions while also seeking donations from other large partners. Learn more here

City of Elgin Launches Mapping Resource Hub - As part of the continued response to the Coronavirus and its impacts to the community and economy, the City of Elgin released a new   interactive mapping hub  that supports local businesses and organizations, while providing consistent information for its residents.

The mapping hub, built by the City of Elgin’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team was compiled using information gathered by partner organizations including the Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin, the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce, Explore Elgin Area Tourism Bureau and the Elgin Human Services Council.
