Hope Harbor Groundbreaking!

Hope Harbor has State permits to remodel the building and work has begun!
Thank you John Cornelius for your above and beyond work to bring us to this great day! John Cornelius has been helping Hope Harbor for years to find a location and then design and secure plans for the remodel. Thank you Stan Cape Architect. Thank you to all who have partnered with us. You will make a difference in the lives of women and children in need of hope.

Hope Harbor May 25, 2019.
Hope Harbor, located in Capitan, celebrated its receipt of construction permits at a Groundbreaking last Saturday. We are anticipating a winter, 2019 opening. Lorna Fike, Executive Director and Rick Hutchison, Founder and Board President review Hope Harbor's plan to build three completely contained efficiency apartments,site manager's apartment, meeting rooms along with other necessary components to offer incoming residents a transitional place to call home while learning how to rebuild their lives in a faith-centered program.

The building is ready for remodel! Please help us build the apartments for women with children who need a hope and healing. We will need building materials and volunteers to help now. This building will provide apartments for 3 families of women with children and one staff apartment. Phase 2 will provide 18 duplexes on the same property.

MISSION
The mission of Hope Harbor is to offer a Christ-centered program of hope, healing, and supportive guidance for women and children escaping domestic violence.
This up to two-year program offers safe housing, life-skills training, counseling and the opportunity for further education to promote financial stability.
