Dear Sunrise Presidio Village Residents,

The Association received concerns from residents about Safeway Market shopping carts at the Center Village Drive bridge over the wash, homeless transients camping in the wash behind homes, cars broken into and mail removed from mailboxes.

The Sheriffs Office was alerted of transients camping in the wash and a search was made. A report was submitted to the US Post Office of criminal mailbox tampering and stolen mail.

This is a good time for all of us to be reminded of personal safety and protecting our property.
THE GARAGE
  • Keep your garage closed when not in it. It takes a thief less than 45 seconds to grab a bike, golf clubs, tools or other items and be gone.
  • Lock the inside door from the garage to your home.
  • Best to park your vehicle/s inside your closed garage.

LOCKED AND OUT-OF-SIGHT
  • Keep cars that are kept outside locked and all valuable items inside car out-of-sight.

THE MAILBOX
  • The Post Office recommends against placing mail, especially checks, in mailbox with the flag up alerting of out-going mail.
  • Installing a locked mailbox can insure the incoming mail is not stolen.

DO NOT DOUBT YOURSELF
  • If you see something suspicious, someone strange in the community or trespassing on your property or your neighbors it is recommended by the Police to CALL 911and DO NOT CONFRONT THE STRANGER/S YOURSELF.

INFORM OTHERS
  • Inform your neighbors of incidents so they can be aware and be proactive.
  • Keep the Board informed of what's going in the community. Use the Contact Us form on the HOA Website.

"Lets watch out for each other and
keep our lovely community SAFE 24/7"
