We miss you!
We're still here, we're thinking about you, and we continue to gather content we think you'll enjoy as we eagerly wait for the day when our JCC reopens. And about that: we're a non-profit and obviously no income means it's going to be difficult to stay financially afloat and reopen quickly if this shutdown goes on too long! Never the less, for now, we are here and we want to stay as connected with you as always. We are community—even while sheltered in place!

Heidi Sanders
,
Director of the Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood
With cultural institutions around the world closed to the public, the silver lining is that there is some phenomenal remote content that allows you to access museum collections from your living room.
This week, I am taking myself on a virtual tour of the
Jewish Museum
in New York. Their site offers
audio tours
for kids and families,
video archives
of past live performances and public programs, and—my personal favorite—Artist's Voices, a series of virtual museum guides, led by a roster of contemporary artists.
Isaac Mizrahi
kibbitzes about the joys of Yiddish,
Maira Kalman
talks about the mural she created for the museum's Russ & Daughters cafe, and
Kehinde Wiley
explores the intersection of ancient Jewish nomadic art and his perspective as an African American artist. It's a fun and contemporary spin on Jewish art and culture.
Bonus: You can use their mobile site to preview the
Leonard Cohen
exhibit
that is scheduled to be at our local Contemporary Jewish Museum this fall.

Danielle Vierra,
Adult Learning and Living
Are you wondering what to do with your day? Even though we cannot have Wonderfest at the JCC today as planned, we can have them at home.
Join me in viewing any or all of the videos from the
Wonderfest
These programs stimulate curiosity, promote careful reasoning, challenge unexamined beliefs, and encourage life-long learning. Wonderfest has been a valued partner to the Adult Learning and Living Program area for several years and though we are sorry to miss them at the center today, they are here for you in the virtual world.

Thank you, Wendy H,
for renewing your membership for the year
— especially while we're shut down.
My membership renewal is due and I would like to pay in full for the year. I'm so pleased that you are able to take care of your wonderful employees. I love the JCC family.
Sending love and peace to all,
