According to Feeding America, 762,530 people in New Jersey are struggling with food insecurity and 192,580 of them are children. As a result of COVID-19 pandemic, that number has only risen.

Millions of children across the country rely on school (breakfast and) lunch programs for meal assistance. During the summer months, the aid provided by these programs disappears and the number of children receiving consistent meal assistance dwindles. For many local children, summer can be a time of worry about where their next meal will come from.

At the Franklin Food Bank, we are here to support families through what may be a difficult season. Whether we can provide food assistance or help locate further resources, our goal is to ensure that the food needs of our community are met in an atmosphere of dignity and respect at any time of year.
