Time, it does work in your favor. The more time you have the bigger the opportunity. Problem of course is that we have no idea when our time is up, when the opportunity has passed. We’ll never have that same time again.
It’s time for Inland North County to control its destiny, it is time to update the vision of Escondido’s future. A vision where Escondido takes control and shapes a future based on sustainability while pushing the boundaries of your wildest imagination. Think big Escondido. It’s time.
Other cities do this. San Marcos (West Escondido) did this and created a vision of the future for their community. The Midway District all around the Sports Arena has created this with developers tripping over themselves presenting their interpretation of the vision.
What’s it going to take for this to happen? What are we waiting for? Who’s going to step up? Is it the City? Is that their role? Is that what we want their role to be? Who else? Is it the business community?
Or is our future all predetermined and we have no voice?
Escondido’s business community through its pop-out leaders, coalesced through the Chamber is an increasingly valuable resource to help build the vision.
No one can do it alone but, together we have a chance. It’s time.
