Sept. 24, 2021

Greetings -

Thanks very much for your interest in Bay Area bluegrass and old time music events -- and for sending me updates and corrections. Please visit the Bluegrass Signal web site for the latest listings and playlists, as well as a number of items and articles of interest to bluegrass and old time music fans.

It's fundraising time on both KALW and Bluegrass Country, and there are special editions of Bluegrass Signal as a result. See the playlists below.

On Saturday (5-6 pm) and available online for a week (just select 'Bluegrass Signal'), it's a celebration of KALW's 80th anniversary with an hour of songs released in 1941 -- the year that KALW began broadcasting full time!

From now through Oct. 3rd, Bluegrass Country is celebrating "classic" recordings of bluegrass, country, and old time music, so Bluegrass Signal goes back-to-back with source recordings and more contemporary performances included on Turn Your Radio On, the 2-CD set that's available to supporters. Pacific Time broadcasts of Bluegrass Signal on Bluegrass Country: Mon. (8 pm), Tues. (9 pm), Fri. (3 pm), and Sat. (9 pm).

Thanks for your interest & support -- and thanks for listening -
