GHFH TOP FIVE TRAFFIC TIPS
Pick-Up Best Practices
Thank you, families, for helping to make our pick-up line the fastest in all of Great Hearts San Antonio. We have five tips to help us continue to improve the flow of traffic, ultimately keeping traffic off of Prue Rd.

  1. Wave Times: Let's please continue to observe our Wave Times.
  2. Pick-Up Placards: Please ensure that your placards are visible to our staff and that you display ONLY the placards of each student you are picking up.
  3. Squeeze In: You may notice how we squeeze cars in as close as possible in lanes one and two. We ask that while you are anywhere on our campus during pick-up, that you squeeze in as close as possible to the vehicle in front of you, allowing more cars to be able to enter the parking lot.
  4. Buckle Up: If your student requires help buckling up, please pull around to the front of the building and park along the red curb where you can safely help your scholar buckle their safety belt.
  5. Thumbs Up: Most parents have mastered the Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down system. But on occasion we have the grandparent who hasn't. Please make sure to teach anyone who picks up your scholar... Thumbs Down for not ready, Thumbs Up for ready!
Friday Dismissal
Since Monday, September 6 is a holiday, the following Friday September 10 will be a full school day. Dismissal will start promptly at 3:25pm. Please do not attempt to come to campus at 1:25. You will be redirected off campus and asked to return at 3:25. Thank you.
Elementary Sports
Due to a lack of interest in the 3rd through 5th grade soccer for this fall we will be cancelling our Fall Intramural Season. If you have already paid then we will issue you a refund for the full amount.

We will be putting our energy in getting enough support to participate in the 3rd through 5th grade basketball program for the winter. Please be on the look out for emails and flyers regarding these teams.

During our camps this past summer we had a lot of talent and energy and look forward to putting those skills to use. Please encourage your young athletes to participate and make them and our future teams a success.

Spirit Day
We have seen many students in the past couple of weeks wear Spirit Shirts on Fridays. As a reminder, Spirit Day is ONLY on the last Friday of every month. This month that day will fall on September 24. We will always remind you when that day approaches.

Be advised, if your student comes to school in a Spirit Shirt on a non-Spirit Day, you will be asked to come back to campus and bring your scholar a change of shirt. Thank you for your understanding.
