Celebrating CARF Accreditation
Project Turnabout is excited to announce that we have exceeded the high standards for preliminary renewal of our CARF accreditation. In case you didn’t know, CARF stands for Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. This accreditation means that Project Turnabout exceeds internationally-recognized health and human services industry standards and operates as a true Center for Excellence. Our pending renewal is a 3-year certification.
Although PTAB has participated in several CARF accreditation processes over the years, this was the first done virtually. CARF surveyors toured our main campus from June 23 through June 25, 2021. Their review involved studying programs and processes; reviewing documents and policies that guide our operations; and visiting with board members, alumni, and community members about our services. The review involved our main campus in Granite Falls, as well as our Outpatient Treatment Programs in Marshall, Willmar, and Redwood Falls.

The surveyors gave PTAB a highly positive preliminary report as they completed the review process itself, indicating that finalization of recertification at the highest 3-year level has been achieved and we can look forward to receiving official word of the accreditation through 2023 in the coming weeks.

What This Means for You?
If you’re seeking help for drug/alcohol/gambling addiction, you can rest assured that you will be treated with respect, and encounter caring staff when you first come through our doors. You can be assured that this respect will carry throughout your treatment experience here.
Our patients and alumni have told us how incredible they’ve felt while in treatment, and that encourages us to keep working hard on maintaining that trust. CARF reviewers shared with us that while doing the review they heard expressions of gratitude from patients and alumni that treatment saved their life. As the lead reviewer stated, “what higher accomplishment is there!” We are excited to be
re-certified as a CARF – Accredited Organization through 2023.
