COPFAS recognised with ICE awards
COPFAS (Cottingham and Orchard Park Flood Alleviation Scheme) has gained two awards from the Institution of Civil Engineers Yorkshire and Humber. The project has delivered one of the largest flood alleviation schemes in the country and was completed by Esh Construction earlier this year.

Phase 1 won the Smeaton Award which recognises achievement, excellence or innovation in civil engineering, while phase 2 achieved the Centenary Award Certificate of Excellence.
Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship
In July we hosted a webinar with PL Projects that examined the benefits of a new level 4 project management apprenticeship.

The next course, being run in association with Leeds City College, starts week commencing 1st November. The apprenticeship is an 18 month programme, with learners expected to finish around April 2023. This will include the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) as an on programme assessment.

Funding for the apprenticeship can be drawn from the Apprenticeship Levy.

CEYH Awards 2021 finalists announced
Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber have announced the finalists shortlisted for this year's CEYH Awards.

We are delighted to see a selection of YORhub projects amongst the names listed and wish all finalists the best of luck.

FEATURED PROJECT
Pell Frischmann appointed by Humber Bridge Board
Pell Frischmann have been appointed via the YORconsult2 framework to carry out inspections of the Humber Bridge. The project will involve inspecting the Barton Viaduct and making recommendations for any further work that is found to be required.

Completion is scheduled for January 2022.
