Hello from Haiti!
At first, there was no hope.
When the magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck near the little village of Lafige in Haiti, there was instant destruction. Many homes totally collapsed, and there was loss of life. This little village is so remote, they had no hope of receiving assistance that poured into the country from large organizations. The people felt overlooked, and they were certain they would be forgotten.
But then you stepped in!
We put out the word that there was a desperate need to help this little village, and you responded! We know this village through our relationship with Pastor Francky Jean-Baptiste who ministers there. Because of this connection, we were able to send the funds you gave. What seemed impossible at first, now became the possible for tiny Lafige.
Now there is hope!
Under Pastor Francky's leadership and through your generosity, many families now have hope. The photo shows families who received financial assistance to buy wood to rebuild their homes. Pastor Francky was also able to purchase roofing tin for them so their homes can be dry and secure. Thank you for hearing of the need, responding to it, and providing hope in a place that seemed forgotten.
