I want to express my gratefulness for your continued support and sponsorship of children through our program. As our ministry has grown over the past few years, we have continued to do the best we can to keep our overhead expenses very low; in fact, we are once again working with less than 4% operational costs. As always, 100% of every dollar given by you for monthly child sponsorship goes directly towards your child. We are able to do this because of generous donors giving to our General Fund, covering administrative costs.
We are very excited to announce that we are currently in the process of building a new database and App that will allow our in-country workers to update profile cards of the children once a year! Over the past few years we have been using funding specifically given for updating profile cards to send mission teams to each of the countries we work in to gather the correct information. As you can imagine, this has been a costly way of doing things. This new process of having in-country workers utilize the database and App will allow us to be more financially conservative and efficient in our communication with you as our sponsors!
While we will be doing profile cards differently in the future, we still plan to personally visit each of the Promise Child countries often in order to maintain the same level of accountability and discipleship with our in-country staff and all the children in our program.
We ask you to continue to be patient with us as we are unveiling this program within the next month and should have new profile cards to you by the end of the year. Our profile card process will remain basic as we will focus on giving you a new photo and simple information every year.
