"Our theme this year is Renewal, and we look forward to incredible discussions about how design can renew not just a home but also a spirit, as well how to renew our treasured antique homes in a thoughtful way for modern life.”
– Kelly Williams, 2021 Chair
Spotlight: Nantucket Craft Culture

As we get closer to summer, we are busy planning for this year’s Nantucket by Design, which highlights the Island’s special combination of history, beauty, hospitality, and unique design sensibility. While we are still not able to plan for an event where we will be physically together, we are creating a carefully curated virtual opportunity to convene with friends from far and wide, while engaging with world-class speakers, celebrating at unique social events, and exploring the Island’s influence on American design.

Over the next few months, we look forward to sharing some of these influences with treasures and stories from our archives and through the work of our partners. Kicking this spotlight series off with a look at the history of the rich craft culture on Nantucket.
