Standardized Patients shaping a new generation of medical professionals
Standardized Patients (SP) play an essential role in health sciences education across all disciplines. By accurately and consistently recreating the history, personality, physical findings, emotional structure, and response pattern of an actual patient in health care simulations. The University of Alberta's (UAlberta) Standardized Patient Program, managed by the Health Sciences Council, provides SPs for a variety of educational venues for both campus and off-campus activities.

CBC Radio's The Sunday Edition host Michael Enright interviews SPs about their profession and how they're helping to shape the next generation of medical professionals. Featuring two of the UAlberta's SPs' Penney Tucker and Fred Hoeber.
